Verstappen beats Hamilton to top spot in German GP practice

Max Verstappen was fastest in second practice in German Grand Prix, the Dutchman kept Red Bull Racing’s striking form at the German Grand Prix in second practice and he beats Lewis Hamilton, who was 0.026 seconds behind in second.

The second Mercedes man Valtteri Bottas made third fastest, championship leader Sebastian Vettel was fourth in his Ferrari, with teammate Kimi Raikkonen completing a top five that was covered by only 0.3 seconds.

Morning pace-setter Daniel Ricciardo spun in the afternoon as he was only 13th quickest, also the Australian hits problems, as he is set to start the race from the back of the grid.

The FIA announced before the start of practice that Red Bull had changed the MGU-K (kinetic motor generator unit), energy store and control electronics on his car.

Sauber’s Charles Leclerc, highly recommended to be move to Ferrari at the expiring Raikkonen next year, continuous his remarkable improvement with eighth fastest time, 0.4secs and six places ahead of team-mate Marcus Ericsson, and ahead of Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg and Force India’s Esteban Ocon.
