Mercedes confirms 2018 F1 car W09 launch date and place

Mercedes to launch their 2018 F1 car on February 22, the same day Ferrari plans to launch its 2018 F1 challenger and one day ahead of McLaren and Toro Rosso, which teams announced its launch date on Thursday as well.

Silver Arrows officially titled the Mercedes-AMG F1 W09 EQ Power+, will break cover on February 22nd at Silverstone. The team intends the new machine to complete a 100 kilometer shakedown run at the track once it has been launched.

Pre-season testing kicks off in Spain on February 26. Four-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will again be partnered by Valtteri Bottas at the squad.
