Valtteri Bottas beat his four-time world champion team mate Lewis Hamilton the final pole position of the Formula One season on Saturday, leading a Mercedes one-two in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix qualifying.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo will start from the second row of the grid for tomorrow’s season finale at Yas Marina, with respective team mates Kimi Raikkonen and Max Verstappen starting fifth and sixth.

Renault F1 speedy Nico Hulkenberg took seventh ahead of Force India duo Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon, with retirement-bound Brazilian Felipe Massa 10th in his final outing for the Williams F1.

Toro Rosso’s Brendon Hartley the only man handed grid penalty (for a new MGU-H on his Toro Rosso – 10 place) applied.
