Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo one of the best team-mate bonds in the Formula 1 camp and they are good relationship away from Formula 1 too.

But the young F1 sensation Max has one dislike with his older friend. Speaking ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Dutchman told a press conference: “He keeps farting. It smells so bad in our hospitality all the time!

“He’s a great guy. Of course on track you always try to beat eachother but off track we can have a really great laugh.

“To be honest, I’ve never experienced something like that in racing – to have a really good team-mate who I can have fun with. I hope we can be team-mates for a long time.”

Should the duo find themselves sealed in a close battle for the title in 2018 F1, Max believes their strong relationship can survive the pressure.

“I think so because we respect each other,” Verstappen said.

“When you are fighting for a world championship you will have a bit more tension on the track but at the end of the day you always come back to where you respect each other.

“You have to accept if one guy is faster than the other, that’s what we can do. Also when somebody has a good race, we can say ‘well done’ and ‘you deserved that’, I think that really important.”
