Lewis Hamilton made a moment of Montreal magic on Saturday to put his Mercedes on pole position for the Canadian Grand Prix and equal Ayrton Senna’s career haul of 65. Championship leader Sebastian Vettel, of Ferrari, got closest but more than three-tenths back.
Valtteri Bottas third. Kimi Raikkonen was a slightly distant fourth, compared to his team-mate. Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were next up for Red Bull, ahead of Felipe Massa and the Force India duo of Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon. Nico Hulkenberg completed the top 10.
