
Jolyon Palmer lost his rear of the Renault’s as he went into the last corner and spun into the wall.
The session has been stopped after a big crash.
Sky F1 analyst Pat Symonds on Palmer’s crash: “I feel sorry for the guys because I would have had my head in my hands. In Australia you want a nice, straight forward, easy weekend. No one has many spares at this time of year and you just don’t want this sort of thing to happen.
“It was strange accident. It did not look particularly usual and I’m sure they’ll be trying to figure that out. It seemed like he had a bit of oversteer, he corrected it and then got a bit more.”… more to follow
