Michael Schumacher’s Mercedes for sale

Mercedes E55 AMG wagon originally owned by F1 legend Michael Schumacher has come up for sale at a dealer in Berlin, Germany.

The silver E 55 AMG T-Model was built in 1998 and its first owner was none other than Schumacher.

Asking price? 119,950 euro. What makes this particular Mercedes such a hot commodity? Simple: its celebrity ownership history status. Its mileage is equally generous with no less than 198,000 km showing on the odometer.

Register in Switzerland, the car was first sold in July 1998, has fresh MOT, full service records and is well maintained. An inspection, including brakes and new tires was also made.

The 354-hp eight-cylinder AMG engine and the automatic gearbox apparently remained untouched. The emission class is specified with Euro 4. Automatic air conditioning and an alarm system, Parktronic and a sound system from Bose, sports suspension with alloy wheels are all inclusive. The cherry on top? Designo leather in black and white. Keeps ‘hope’ of Schumi’s recovery

47-year-old Schumacher has not been seen publicly since suffering serious brain injuries in a late 2013 skiing fall.

Manager Sabine Kehm said: “I realise we would all like it if Michael himself could be here, but unfortunately that is not possible.

“We have to accept it and learn to deal with it, we will continue to hope and do everything so that it will be different again,” said Kehm.

Schumacher won a record 91 grands prix and seven world championships.
