Jenson Button has confirmed that he’s split up with his wife Jessica Michibata

2009 Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button has confirmed that he’s split up with his wife Jessica Michibata following a year of marriage.

The news source claims that — couple Jenson Button and Jessica Michibata never lived together after marriage. Also another vital thing the – they did not sign a pre-nup

The pair tied the knot in Maui, Hawaii, on December 30 last year but their lives remained largely unchanged.

A spokesman for Jenson Button said: “Jenson and Jessica have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable. There is no-one else involved.”

More from theSun.co.uk — A source close to them said: “Jenson and Jessica did not have any financial arrangement before their marriage.

“There are ongoing discussions between them about money, but it’s too early to say how it will pan out.”

A source close to Jessica said: “After getting married, life continued much as it had before. Nothing changed for either of them.

“They had their respective careers and met up when they could. But over the course of this year the meetings became less and less frequent. It was always a difficult relationship to maintain.

“Even when you have as much money as both of them and access to first-class travel, it is hard to live thousands of miles apart and stay together.

“It takes one person to give things up. But neither of them was prepared to do that.

“Jessica is not just some pretty wife who was sitting around waiting for him — or able to follow him around the F1 circuit. She is very focused and driven herself.

“They are two very successful people who enjoyed each other’s company but could not make it work long term. They still care about each other greatly.”

Jessica Michibata has worked for various companies over the years but made her name as a lingerie model for Japanese mail order firm Peach John in 2007.
