Hamilton takes Senna helmet livery & retains ‘Still I Rise’ slogan for Brazilian GP

Lewis Hamilton has customized the rear part of his helmet livery for the Brazilian Grand Prix to slot in the iconic yellow and green livery of great idol Ayrton Senna.

Following the Japanese GP, Hamilton equalled Ayrton Senna’s record of 41 victories – “For me to come here to a race where I used to love watching Ayrton drive, to match his wins, I can’t really describe it,” following the race the Brit said “It doesn’t feel real at the moment.”

Lewis has also said ending his winless Interlagos row this weekend would be a “salute” to the man he grew up idolising.

Triple time world champion revealed the customized helmet earlier this week on his Twitter and uncovered it for Friday practice.

The partially modified Helmet design does not come out to breach FIA’s new rule banning changes to helmet design as the rear part not visible from the cockpit.

Hamilton has also retained his “Still I Rise” slogan on the rear of his customized hood and put the Ayrton Senna Foundation logo above it.
