Mexico like a go-kart track, crazy – Hamilton

Triple time world champion Lewis Hamilton says that, too much slippery during Friday practice for the Mexican Grand Prix made and he feel “like a go-kart track”.

The Brit ended morning session all the way down in 11th, but boost to fourth in evening session, four tenths off his session flyer teammate Nico Rosberg.

Reconstructed Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is being used for a grand prix weekend for the first time since 1992 and too much slippery on Friday both practices.

Media asked how he would review his day on Friday,”Interesting but fun”, he commented: “It’s crazy how slippery it is out there.

“Because it is so high in altitude, it is way worse grip than you have in Monza, which is quite low [already]” Hamilton continued. “You are sliding around so it is a bit like a go-kart track.

“Everyone is going to have oversteer moments and [will be] sliding around, so it is about stability.
“Because it is new, the surface has no rubber, so there is a lot less grip. It is getting better and better though.”
