Mexican GP: McLaren’s Alonso, Button Face Grid Penalties

McLaren duo must acquire more grid penalties at this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, if they go ahead with more Honda power-unit changes for both drivers.

Double world champion, Fernando Alonso has already used 10 power-units in the first 16 rounds and he is also likely to take a new gearbox. And team-mate Jenson Button is expected to make a “double” engine change.

The Spaniard is also likely to take a new gearbox, which means he will face a penalty of at least 15 places on the starting grid.

Button is expected to make a “double” engine change by using different new engines on Friday and then again on Saturday. He will start from the back of the grid.
