More to come from Hamilton, says Lauda

Triple-time F1 world champion Niki Lauda welcomed Lewis Hamilton to the special club for triple title-winners on Sunday and expecting that the Brrit will “get better and better.”

Lauda, non-executive chairman of the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, said the race was “the best ever to watch” and a fitting way for him to take his third crown.

“Very good, can’t complain, the best race ever today to watch,” said Lauda.

“Now he’s only as good as I am – I’m joking. He will get better and win more, I tell you.

Niki added that he was worried in the closing laps when Sebastian Vettel closed up in his Ferrari on Nico Rosberg, running second in the second Mercedes.

“I was worried that Vettel could pass Nico and delay the whole thing.” He added

Hamilton’s 10th win of the season allowed him to move one victory clear of four-time champion Vettel as the driver with the third most wins in F1 history.
