BREAKING: Q3 cancelled, Q2 to set the grid for US GP

Mercedes speedy Nico Rosberg takes pole position from Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo as heavy rain conditions at the Circuit of The Americas force cancellation of Q3. Q2 times to set the grid for US Grand Prix race.

Following the Q1 and Q2, track conditions was changed a lot, more rain and were considered too dangerous, thus the decision was taken not to continue with Q3.

Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat in third and fourth place.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was fifth but will be demoted 10 places, leaving the two Force India’s of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg on the third row.

The Williams of Felipe Massa and Max Verstappen’s Toro Rosso came in ninth and tenth, but with the Ferrari penalties both will jump up two places.

Top 10: Nico Rosberg; Lewis Hamilton; Daniel Ricciardo; Daniil Kvyat; Sebastian Vettel; Sergio Perez; Nico Hulkenberg; Kimi Raikkonen; Felipe Massa; Max Verstappen.

Out in Q2: Fernando Alonso; Valtteri Bottas; Romain Grosjean; Jenson Button; Pastor Maldonado.

Out in Q1: Marcus Ericsson; Felipe Nasr; Alexander Rossi; Will Stevens; Carlos Sainz.
