Hamilton wins as Rosberg retires in Russian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton achievement at the Russian Grand Prix, as Nico Rosberg retired from the race with a throttle pedal failure.

The Brit now needs just two points from the US Grand Prix to win the world title for a third time after Nico Rosberg retired early on with a throttle problem.

The victory, coupled with Rosberg’s powerlessness to finish, leaves Hamilton 73 points ahead of his Mercedes teammate in the battle for the 2015 World Drivers’ Championship title, with just four events remaining.

Sebastian Vettel finished in second place to move ahead of Rosberg in the standings, with Sergio Perez securing a dramatic podium finish for Force India, following initially being passed by Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas before the Finn collided with the Williams car.
