Vettel: A “huge shock” if Red Bull pulls out of F1

Sebastian Vettel says that, it would be a “huge shock” if Red Bull Racing pulls out of F1, as the Milton Keynes based F1 outfit still in limbo – yet they can’t secure engine deal for 2016.

Freshly the German publication Auto Motor und Sport claim that the Ferrari are only willing to provide engines to Toro Rosso among fears that the former world champions would be ‘too strong’ even if armed with a year-old set of Ferrari V6 power.

Ferrari ace Sebastian Vettel, who secures four consecutive F1 world championships for Red Bull Racing, said he can’t imagine his former team pull-out from the Formula 1 following engine crisis.

“It would be a huge shock,” Vettel is quoted as saying by Motorsport.

“I think Red Bull has been part of Formula 1 for ten years and has supported it ever since.

“Of course, I have strong links to Red Bull and I know the team like the back of my hand. This is why I struggle to imagine them to pull out. I hope they will stay in the sport.”

“I’m not the one to make the decisions. I think it’s no easy decision and to be honest I’m glad I don’t have to make it,” he added.

“I’m comfortable in my role, being a driver only.”
