Hamilton: The car was not feeling bad

Lewis Hamilton 2015 British GP
Lewis Hamilton was only fourth fastest in second practice at the British Grand Prix as Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg set the pace.

Home hero was 0.466 seconds slower than team-mate behind the Ferrari duo of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

“It was an ok day, it was pretty smooth. The fans have been incredible and I’m looking forward to seeing more of them through the weekend. The car wasn’t feeling bad today and the Ferraris look close so it should be a good race.

“I don’t feel like l am defending my turf, I am here representing everyone and racing like l know to.”

Hamilton has reverted to an old set-up for his race starts and was more positive on that change too:

“It feels the same as it did through the first four races. So far it feels really good – but I don’t want to jinx it!”
