Burnout is illegal: penalty for Vettel? Or FIA this time turn a blind eye

art-svVETTEL2-620x349Obviously the burnouts is illegal during the Grand Prix, following the chequered flag Sebastian Vettel celebrate his fourth consecutive title in Indian Grand Prix. The celebration includes a few burnouts in front of the grandstand on the start/stop grid. Burnouts celebration could theoretically illegal, but we believe FIA this time turn a blind eye on Vettel with a special moment.

Advisor to the Red Bull Racing Dr. Helmut Marko brings no understanding on this. “I’ve heard that he has because of his burnouts to the Commissioners I think that’s incredible,” complains the Austrians.

“Every NASCAR race they make far more burnouts I’ve seen the cheers of the spectators – . , It was such a good atmosphere , and now he has to the Commissioners I find strange No one would understand if there is a punishment ! . . Could cost him the victory. ”

“I had not thought about it ” , the now four-time world champion said immediately after the ceremony. ” My race engineer ‘ Rocky’ told me on the radio, I should just make the whole Normal I just said. ! ‘Not this time ‘ There were so many people in the stands, I had to do it ! Normally, we do not allow, but at that moment it felt just so right. ”

Such illegal burnouts are way less security reasons , but rather because the car could theoretically be manipulated after , when it is not in the shielded by the FIA Parc ferme . For example, it is conceivable that a spectator pours liquid into the cockpit and thus distort the results on the scale.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner takes the action with humor: “I have not seen it, only heard,” he says. “The engine still needs to hold another race because he has not strained him a bit. For the people here, but that is of course great. 1 So the formula must be!”

Finds Marko: “You have to do something for the fans all complain that there is not enough action This was just the emotions that have come out of him, and the audience have clearly enjoyed…”
