Grosjean: Mutually planned medium compound for Q1

21399Romain Grosjean is not more disappointed, after his surprise way out from the opening qualifying phase Q1 for Indian Grand Prix qualifying.

In the qualifying Q1, Sebastian Vettel and Romain Grosjean only used medium-compound, but the French man can’t enter the Q2 session.

Tomorrow he will start from 17th position; Grosjean remained philosophical, and made clear that it was a mutual decision.

“We planned a cut-off time before qualifying and all the cars ran quicker than we expected,” said Grosjean.

“We were more or less where we wanted to be, but it seems it was much tighter and the Option tyre performed better than this morning.

“I made the decision as well, it is not right to blame the team or myself. We just missed it for some reason. We will look at why but sometimes it just happens.”
