Webber grab Suzuka pole from Vettel for Japanese GP

Mark-Webber_3017737Red Bull racing speedy Mark Webber beats his team-mate Sebastian Vettel to Japanese Grand Prix pole. This is Australian’s first pole and especially out-qualified his team-mate Sebastian Vettel all year.

During the Q3 first run Sebastian Vettel struggled following with a KERS issue. The Australian took full advantage to go over 0.3s quicker than his team-mate and set the provisional pole time.

Successfully reset for Vettel’s second run but he couldn’t beat Webber’s time and team-mate then improved again to consolidate pole position.

Romain Grosjean took fourth fastest ahead Ferrari’s Felipe Massa; Nico Rosberg was 0.144s slower than team-mate Hamilton in sixth place.

Nico Hulkenberg set seventh fastest and the second Ferrari speedy Fernando Alonso will start from eighth.

Kimi Raikkonen again struggled for qualifying speed, lapping 0.319s slower than his team-mate Romain Grosjean. McLaren’s Jenson Button completed the top ten in the race start grid.
