For the safety circuit made reconstruction at Pit-lane exit the joining the circuit at the apex of the turn one, during practice session most drivers’ complained over the radio about the unkind bump in redesigned portion.

“It’s not the standard that it should be, but there’s not much we can do now,” Webber said. “We know it [the bump] is there, but it’s pretty special. I’m sure they’ll improve it if we ever come back here again.”

Following the last race at Singapore, Webber received a 10-place grid drop penalty for Singapore dramatic taxi driving.

“The balance is not great,” he said. “It’s more about understanding the tyres again. That’s the biggest thing and it’s about getting them working.”

“We need to work on our short and long run balance because obviously I’m going to be out of position. We need a car that will be strong in the first sector so I can get some overtaking done.”
