Webber gets penalty for Korean GP after Alonso lift

Formula One World Championship 2013, Round 13, Singapore Grand PrixMark Webber gets a ten-place grid penalty for the next Grand Prix in Korea on October 6 following the lift with Fernando Alonso.

Following the retirement on the final lap, Fernando Alonso gave Mark Webber a lift back to the pits on the sidepod of his car after the chequered flag.

Stewards later claimed that article 30.9(b) of the sporting regulations was broken as Webber “entered the track without the marshal’s permission between the commencement of the formation lap and the time the last car enters parc ferme.”
It’s Webber’s third reprimand of the year which means the Australian gets a ten-place grid penalty at the next race in Korea on October 6.

Another incident happened in Singapore race, Lotus was also reprimanded because a team personnel member was not wearing a helmet during a pit stop for Romain Grosjean.
