“It’s amazing, it’s very special to win at home, “the whole weekend went perfectly. I had a terrible start and it was very close to Sebastian and [team-mate] Lewis [Hamilton], but that worked out well. After that I just controlled the pace, the car was really good and the tyres held on.” Rosberg said during the post-race press conference
“I’m just extremely happy to win this race, with such a difficult time behind us. We have been dropping back so much, so that was a little bit in the back of my mind. I hoped to pull it off as it’s not nice to fall back. The team gave me a great car, so it was enough to make it happen. We’ve improved from Barcelona. I’m ecstatic.” He added.
