Massa and Gutierrez receives grid penalties

Felipe Massa and Esteban Gutiérrez will drop three places on the Spanish Grand Prix race grid, following they penalized for impeded other drivers during the qualifying.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa will start from ninth on the grid from sixth; the Brazilian blocked Red Bull’s Mark Webber during Q2. Massa’s penalty promoted Romain Grosjean, Mark Webber and Sergio Perez they are move up a place.

Sauber’s Esteban Gutierrez gets the same penalty for blocking Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen earlier in the session. The Mexican will start from 19th on the grid, initially he qualified 16th.

“I was pushing on the inside of the corner and trying not to create a battle with him,” Massa said following the qualifying.

Mark Webber says that it was disappointing situation; especially he had not been clued-up of his presence.

“It’s disappointing. Felipe doesn’t do that on purpose, maybe the radio communication wasn’t good for his car, It is a frustrating thing for any of us top guys because we’re always generally very good with each other.” said Webber.
