Vettel fastest in the second practice for Spanish GP

Reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel set top fastest lap-time in the second practice for Spanish Grand Prix. The German leads from Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa.

The first phase of the evening practice session the Mercedes duo set fastest lap-time. McLaren’s Jenson Button is tested with McLaren’s new side-pod on his MP4-28. The final phase of the session McLaren fitted new front-wing on the Perez’s machine.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso set second fastest lap-time ahead of Red Bull’s Mark Webber, the Spaniard’s fastest lap just 0.017s gap between top Sebastian Vettel. Alonso and the Red Bulls guys controlled all over the pace with low-fuel runs.

Kimi Raikkonen set fourth fastest ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa. The early phase of the session Lewis Hamilton spun at Turn 11, right away he and taking sixth fastest ahead of team-mate Nico Rosberg.

Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne split the Force India of Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta. The Scot rear tyre failed on the main straight; following stop his car on the grass.

Jenson Button and Sergio Perez set only 12th and 13th fastest respectively. Daniel Ricciardo managed eleventh fastest ahead of McLaren duo.
