Red Bull’s Mark Webber set top fastest lap-time in the first day of final pre-season test at Barcelona. The Australian made quickest lap-time in a late flying lap of 1:22.693 on Soft Pirelli.

Following the late-morning rain made a wet track and drivers’ flying with Intermediate and Wet tyres out in force as the action got started.

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton set top fastest lap-time; the Brit successively completed top mileage during his second to last pre-season test day in the Mercedes.

Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne managed third fastest lap-time ahead of Williams’ rookie Valtteri Bottas. Sergio Pérez was struggled to get to grips with MP4-28 and the Mexican produced his fastest time with Intermediate tyres.

Sauber’s Esteban Gutiérrez set sixth fastest following his early morning crash, Force India’s Paul di Resta done seventh fastest ahead of Ferrari’s Felipe Massa. A overdue red flag, caused when the Brazilian’s Ferrari stopped at the exit of Turn 9, led to a flurry of fast times during the 12 minutes that remained.

Marussia’s Max Chilton set ninth fastest ahead of Caterham’s Charles Pic. Lotus speedy Romain Grosjean managed eleventh fastest, also he was struggled with technical troubles in his whole running.
