Day 2 Barcelona Test

Vettel fastest on second day morning session for Barcelona test

Defending world champion Sebastian Vettel took top fastest lap-time in the second day morning session in the Barcelona pre-season test. The youngest triple world champion set best lap-time with 1m22.197s ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

The Brit taste first time in Barcelona with 2013 Mercedes W04, yesterday his team-mate Nico Rosberg set fastest time. Hamilton took second fastest just by 0.529s Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.

McLaren’s Sergio Perez set third fastest ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard was on the ‘medium’ tyres for his best lap-time, which was a second slower than top runner Sebastian Vettel.

The Williams’ rookie Valtteri Bottas set fifth fastest ahead of Toro Rosso’s Daniel Ricciardo, Force India’s Paul di Resta and Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg respectively set seventh and eighth fastest.

Caterham’s Charles Pic and Marussia’s Max Chilton set ninth and tenth fastest in that order, ahead of the suffering Lotus. The Finn Kimi Raikkonen struggled in this morning, with gearbox problem; he just completed four successful laps.
