Rosberg: Main people changes not weakened Mercedes

The German Nico Rosberg says that Mercedes top management people changes will not weaken the team in any way for this season.

On December 13, 2012, Mercedes motorsport Chief Norbert Haug decided that to exit from his role and the company at the end of 2012 season and former Williams guy Toto Wolff taking his place last month.

Also the other rumor close to Mercedes, team Principal Ross Brawn may be way out from his role. But he still continues with Brackley based outfit.

“This season shouldn’t be affected much at all, not initially anyway because the main people in charge of building this car haven’t changed,” Rosberg told Autosport.

“So there is still a lot of stability in that region. Going forward, looking at the big decisions for next year and things like that, there are some big changes coming in,”.

“And that’s where these management changes will have effect, it’s more long term. That is a good thing, because short term we need stability and long term, to become an even better racing team.” Rosberg said.

“I think change, to some extent, has been a good thing, and will be a good thing going forward.”
