2013 F1 Williams FW35 passes final crash test



Williams F1 new machine FW35 chassis passed final FIA’s crash test, team already planned launch new FW35 ahead next week’s second pre-season test at Barcelona.

At the opening pre-season test at Jerez, regular drivers Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas participated with 2012 Williams FW34, and successively completed the test without any major incident.

Team confirmed that, New FW35 will be revealed at the Circuit de Catalunya soon before 9am local time (GMT +1) next Tuesday.

During the last week test at Jerez Maldonado told Autosport, that he was positive about the new machine. “It’s a step,” said Maldonado. “We try to look at every single component, everything.

“But all the cars look very similar to last year because the rules are the same.

“It’s a small improvement all round the car and we are quite confident that it will be very competitive this year, even better than the previous one.”
