Raikkonen set top fastest in final day Jerez testing



Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen set top fastest lap-time in the final day of 2013 Formula 1 first pre-season test at Jerez.

The Iceman set final day best time in the afternoon session with Soft compound; he completed 83 successive laps, best time with 1:18.148.

Force India’s reserve driver Jules Bianchi done second fastest ahead of defending world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Youngest triple time world champion set fastest in the morning session, and he mainly focused on long run with medium and hard compound.

Esteban Gutierrez set fourth fastest for Sauber ahead of Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne. The Mexican today focused mostly long run with new Pirelli.

Lewis Hamilton set sixth fastest for Mercedes, the Brit done much improved day in the new W04 as he completed 145 successive laps with a best time of 1:18.905.

McLaren’s Sergio Peres managed seventh fastest ahead of Williams new recruit Valtteri Bottas. Ferrari test driver Pedro de la Rosa set ninth fastest ahead of Charles Pic.

Marussia’s Luiz Razia set eleventh fastest ahead of Force India’s regular driver Paul di Resta.
