Hulkenberg top fastest in second day of F1 testing at Barcelona

Nico Hulkenberg early set top quickest lap-time for second day of pre-season testing at Barcelona. The Force India speedy ended the day with 112 laps completed with 1:22:608s best time.

Day 2 results 2012 Barcelona F1 testing

Sergio Pérez set the top fastest lap; fit Pirelli’s new branded Super Soft tyres before the lunch break. The Mexican completed the day with 85 laps.

Defending world champion manages third quickest lap-time with 1:22:891. Sebastian Vettel has done his second day testing with 104 laps.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso set fourth fastest lap 1:23: 180 in the final half-hour, ahead of Toro Rosso’s Daniel Ricciardo.

Lewis Hamilton ended the day with 120 laps completed and moved MP4-28 to sixth on the time-sheet with 1:23:806. McLaren speedy was the most running driver of the day as he completed 120 laps.

Nico Rosberg set seventh fastest lap time with brand new Mercedes W03. Williams third driver Valtteri Bottas was eighth fastest and showed good reliability in his lap times as he ended the day with 117 laps. Venezuelan best time-1:25.738. The Russian Vitaly Petrov takes great effort and he set ninth fastest lap-time for Caterham.

Marussia’s Charles Pic again done over 108 laps in the 2011 machine, and he improved his best lap from Yesterday by 0.7s as he continues to gain skill with the team.
