Horner: Webber and Vettel is one of the great pairing

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner says that, Webber and Vettel one of the best driver line-ups. “It’s a great pairing,”

The Australian Mark Webber get the chance for first run with the 2012 Red Bull RB8 at opening pre-season testing at Jerez. The Australian too struggled in 2011; many times his race start was to be unsuccessful.

Horner also added that ‘Mark had a difficult start to the year, but he adapted’. In last season Webber set just three poles and one race victory. Horner claim he’s driver resolve that issue in the final spell of 2011 F1 and therefore expects Webber will be back on strong in 2012.

Mark Webber will be the first to get to hold with the RB8, getting behind the wheel for the first two days at Jerez. Sebastian Vettel will take over for the last two days.

“It’s very difficult going up against a driver of Sebastian’s calibre, being matched and measured against somebody of his standard,” Horner told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“Mark had a difficult start to the year, but he adapted. He worked hard at it and to understand the tyres in particular.”

“It’s a great pairing,” said the Red Bull team boss.

“There is over a 10-year age difference between the two, so they are at different stages of their careers. But they push each other very hard and bring out the best of each other.”
