World Champion Sebastian Vettel says that ‘it was a real shame’, Vettel start strongly in Brazilian race.
After some laps Double time world champion losing a clear shot at win after picking up a gearbox trouble. The German call it has been a phenomenal year and a very strong finish for us

“It was a real shame,” Vettel explained. “I had good start and good feeling, managing to pull a good gap at the start. But very early I had the call to manage a gearbox problem, then it just got worse and I had to use higher gears. That’s where the (team radio) comparison with (Ayrton) Senna came into my head.

“Mark drove a fantastic race and deserved to win, and I don’t like calling this bad luck. It was not in my hands, but I tried to do my best and keep the gap to Fernando and Jenson in the end. We had an amazing season, so it would be over the top being upset now. We’ll take this second place and 1-2 for the team. It has been a phenomenal year and a very strong finish for us. We’re ready for the winter now, looking forward to the break and recharging out batteries to come back as strong as we were this year.”
