Hamilton top McLaren 1-2 in Abu Dhabi second practice

McLaren dominates both free practice at Abu Dhabi GP, in second practice Hamilton on top and McLaren setting one-two respectively.

Alonso and Vettel crashed in Turn one and hitting the barriers during the second practice session, Significant; two double world champions have similar accidents at the same corner in the same session.

Alonso crashed out Abu Dhabi GP Friday Practice

Jenson Button was second fastest, 0.199s at the back his team-mate Lewis Hamilton even as Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso settled third place despite a late crash in Turn 1. And his team-mate Felipe Massa set fourth fastest lap with 1:39.980.

The Red Bull duo done fifth and sixth correspondingly, Mark Webber set fifth fastest-lap with 1:40:104 and his team-mate Sebastian Vettel done sixth fastest with 1:40.132. After he was crashed at Turn 1 and lost the rear and has hit the wall. It’s a very forgiving TecPro barrier so he won’t have done too much damage.

Vettel crashes in Abu Dhabi GP Friday practice

Mercedes GP’s Michael Schumacher set seventh fastest Lap-time with 1:40.553. But his team-mate Nico Rosberg finished with 20th fastest lap – 1:44.265.

Force India pair Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta done eighth and ninth fastest Lap-time, Sutil set 8th quickest with 1:40:951 and di Resta set 9th with + 1.435 sec behind his team-mate.

Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi set tenth fastest with 1:41:490.
