Aug.25 – The Finn Kimi Räikkönen has done his first test in Peugeot’s 908 Le Mans car, which it is rumoured Kimi could race 2012. Räikkönen go round for 35 laps and was present alongside Simon Pagenaud plus fellow ex- F1 racers Alexander Wurz, Stephane Sarrazin and Franck Montagny.

“I have enjoyed the test with Peugeot and racing would be great,” Räikkönen told to Finland’s Turun Sanomat. “It’s really fun driving the 908.” Kimi adapted very quickly to the car and gave us a valuable technical feedback,” added Sporting Director Olivier Quesnel. “It is always interesting to get inputs from drivers such as Kimi.

“This test session was planned for a long time in order to prepare the rest of the season, on top of which we have allowed Kimi to discover the 908. As of today, nothing has been scheduled or planned for the future.”
