Aug.16 – Former F1 Motorsport commentator Murray Walker has try to protect Sebastian Vettel among claims that the defending world champion now under pressure in latest races. Anyway Sebastian Vettel is still at the top of his second successive title.

“You know, I’m always surprised these days when if anybody shows the slightest sign of weakness, people think they are cracking up,” Walker told BBC Sport.

“I certainly would not say that about Sebastian Vettel, after all he won six of the first eight races and he had four second places. Yes, he had an off day in Germany but then he came back with a real vengeance in Hungary to finish in second place. In the same way that people say Vettel only wins when he starts on the front-row of the grid, that’s not all together true. We’ve seen some pretty fighting drives from him.

“I think if Vettel has got a weakness, it is that he likes to start from the front, take the lead with a good start and then control the race from the front. But Vettel is an astonishingly mature young man with a very nice personality. He’s a brilliant driver and I think we’re going to see some fighting drives from him in the second half of the season.”
