British F3 Champions Carlin has denied information that they have submitted an entry for 2011 Formula 1 World Championship. Previous this week, reports emerged in the Finnish media claiming that Carlin had applied to be the 13th team on next year’s Formula One grid.

Team boss Trevor Carlin, though, has denied this.

“While F1 may be a long-term goal for the team, we have not submitted an application for the 2011 season, nor are we in any position to do so,” he said.

“At the moment we are 100 per cent focused on our current programme and continue to put all our efforts into winning championships and races in the junior categories.”
