Massa not agree intimations of Red Bull improvement

Felipe Massa not agrees with Hamilton explanation about the Redbull Cars “ridiculously” faster than the rest of the 2010 field. After ultimate third at the back of the Ferraris in Bahrain when Sebastian Vettel’s pole setting RB6 dropped behind with a problem, Hamilton said to British reporters at the weekend that the Red Bulls enjoy a huge performance advantage.

Redbull Racing is ludicrously quicker than anyone else’s car, he told. It’s insane. The down force they had on their car last year was at some points just about double what we had. Even at the end of the year they had so much more than us, even though we had won a couple of Grand Prix.

But Ferrari’s Massa, who finished 2nd in Bahrain GP, is not as down force as Hamilton about the pace of the Adrian Newey-penned Red Bull. “In testing, the Red Bull might not have been the fastest car in terms of lap times, but I had notice their pace over the longer runs had been very strong, so its speed in Bahrain qualifying was not a surprise,” he said. “Overall, we were very similar and that reinforces the need to try and improve our car at every race through the season,” said the Brazilian.

Massa considers Ferrari was even faster in Bahrain than Red Bull on the harder of the two Bridgestone tyres.
