Jaime Alguersuari and Pedro de la Rosa fined for speeding.



De la Rosa and guy countryman Alguersuari were together fined for speeding in the pit lane at Sakhir on Saturday morning. Both Spaniards troop over the 60 kilometer per hour limit in the Bahrain pit lane and get fines from Formula 1 governing body the FIA as a consequence. Among pit lane speed limits having been compulsory following the tragic San Marino Grand Prix weekend of 1994, cars must apply a speed limiter upon way in to the pits before being reassured of the limit at the exit line.

The Sauber of other Barcelona driver de la Rosa recorded a speed of 69.2km/h just a single minute earlier, with the speed amounting to a heftier total of €2,000 (£1,800 approx).
