Piero Ferrari: Michael Schumacher’s did not betray our team

Published

on

Son of Ferrari founder Piero Ferrari, has said that Michael Schumacher’s go to Mercedes is not a unfaithfulness towards the Maranello team. The Italian reacted to suggestions that the German is revealing Ferrari by creating his F1 return with the German marque rather than the team with which he claimed five of his 7 world titles.Sure, we are let down to see Schumacher go away the team, because he is like a sign to us, Ferrari explained to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, but I wouldn’t say he is revealing us now – of course we would have liked to keep him at our team but he required to race and we couldn’t offer him a race seat.

In addition, Piero stressed that he would never give up signed drivers Felipe Massa or previous double Champion Fernando Alonso. I don’t consider in comebacks, he continuous. Times are changing and apart from that we have hired Alonso, who is also a former Formula 1 Champion. I am persuaded we will see some big results with our drivers in Formula 1 next season.
