Gasly poised to replace Kvyat at Toro Rosso in Malaysia GP

Red Bull junior ace Pierre Gasly is poised to make his F1 debut with Toro Rosso at the Malaysian Grand Prix in place of Daniil Kvyat.

Formula 1’s trusted source – Autosport are reporting that Gasly will replace Kvyat at this weekends Malaysian Grand Prix.

Also the source added that – there has been no official confirmation from the Toro Rosso F1 team, multiple sources have suggested the swap will be made in time for this weekend’s race at Sepang.

It is understood that Red Bull chiefs have decided to give Gasly an early try out in a race seat to evaluate his credentials for a full-time contract for 2018.

Gasly has previously been described as the next “logical choice” to join Toro Rosso by Red Bull boss Christian Horner and looks very likely to get some experience behind the wheel in Formula 1 before a full-time move next season… more to follow
