Hamilton: “I’m going to challenge Valentino Rossi in his Ranch”

Triple-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has said that he would love to join multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi to ride around the Doctor’s infamous ranch.

Hamilton has long proclaimed himself to be a MotoGP fan and has often publicly thrown his support behind whom he considers to be one of his idols, Yamaha rider Rossi.

Rossi’s Ranch – It’s called Tavullia, and it’s the secret behind Rossi’s endless inspiration. Tavullia. It’s the center of Rossi’s universe. It’s a small village of 8,000 inhabitants not far from Pesaro, Italy, where everything started in 1996 with a small group of friends.

“I love motorbikes so I’m definitely going to go to hang with Rossi at his ranch and bomb around on dirt bikes,” Hamilton said in a recent interview with Channel 4.

“I’m going to definitely try and ride a MotoGP bike at some stage. Not to compete, there’s no way that I’m going to be able to beat the next 17, 18-year-old.”

Earlier in the season, Rossi told Gazzetta dello Sport that Hamilton is welcome to come to his ranch whenever he pleases, revealing Hamilton was going to go to Italy last December, but never got around to visiting the Doctor.

“Lewis can come when he wants to,” said the 38-year-old. “He was going to come last December, but then nothing has happened. But for him, as fast as he is, the doors are always open.”

It’s the mid-season break for F1 – Hamilton clearly enjoyed himself in Barbados, the Brit was among a number of celebrities – including Rihanna – to rock up in the Caribbean this week for carnival season. And the Mercedes ace took his mystery brunette onto a luxury boat as they soaked up the rays with friends in the tropical waters.
