Renault engine fails after 6 laps at Toro Rosso film day!

Renault engine failed just after six laps running at Misano today as Toro Rosso shook down its STR12 for short a filming session. Media reported that, Toro Rosso STR12 was stopped by a persistent ERS problem.

The Italian squad is scheduled to unveil STR12 on Sunday in Barcelona, The Red Bull junior team will race with engine supplier Renault following a season with old specification Ferrari engines.

“Sorry, we never go into situations of film days.” Spokeswoman Tabatha Valls told f1today.net

Renault factory outfit launched its 2017 challenger RS17 on Tuesday, the French engine maker claims that they were expecting that their new engine would see 0.3 seconds shaved off each lap.
