2017 Formula One Car Launch Dates and Schedule

2017 Formula 1 will be show an unpredictable season with brand new aerodynamic rules, young sensational drivers, fastest machines, Pirelli’s new tyre almost 25% wider than the tyres used in 2016 F1 and new sporting owners.

The Italian outfit Scuderia Ferrari has become the first F1 team to confirmed the launch date for its 2017 F1 car, scheduling it for 24-02-2017, ahead of opening pre-season test, which is due to start in Barcelona on February 27 and will last for four days. The second test will run from March 7-10 before the season opener in Australia on March 26.

Speaking at Ferrari’s annual Christmas meeting on December 19th , its chief technical officer Mattia Binotto – “There is nothing to say that we here in Maranello cannot build such a car,”

“It’s just a matter of time. What we lacked on occasions this year was the ability to react quickly. We must be able to introduce new solutions before the others do.”

Mercedes on Wednesday (04/01/2017) announced it will launch its 2017 car on 23 February.

The event, and the title-defending W08’s first laps, will take place at British grand prix venue Silverstone.
