Brazilian GP: Race starting grid

Published

The champions – Mercedes drivers locked out the front row but for the first time in three seasons at Interlagos it is Lewis Hamilton who will start from pole ahead of title leader Nico Rosberg. The pole was also a record 19th in 20 races this season for Mercedes.

A success in Brazil would mathematically seal the 2016 title for Rosberg, while sixth place would also do the job should Hamilton fail to score.

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen the best of the rest behind the Mercedes in third ahead of Mexican GP sparring partners Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. The Australian speedy Daniel Ricciardo will start the race from sixth place for Red Bull.
