Nico Rosberg was fastest for Mercedes, just 0.059s ahead of Red Bull young speedy Max Verstappen, as Mercedes teammate and F1 title leader Lewis Hamilton faltered.
In the opening part of the final practice session was red flagged following a wall-kiss by for Pascal Wehrlein, who damaged the rear-end of his Manor in a spin. Wehrlein littered debris across the track, prompting officials to halt the session while the clean-up took place.
Kimi Raikkonen set third fastest for Ferrari, half a second off the pace, separated from team mate Sebastian Vettel in the times by Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo. Nico Hulkenberg managed sixth fastest for Force India ahead of Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat.
Lewis Hamilton was failed to get qualifying simulation in ultra-soft for Mercedes – was only eighth, the Brit followed Friday’s pattern of overshooting his braking points when using the softest compound tire, and his best time was 1.5 seconds off Rosberg. Carlos Sainz set P9, while Valtteri Bottas rounded out the top 10 for Williams.
