2016 McLaren-Honda MP4-31 – first Impression, launch and sound

Below are the first Impression of the 2016 F1 McLaren-Honda MP4-31 chassis name shield (car inside) for the 2016 Formula One season. Featuring a Honda-built 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine, the car will be piloted by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.

McLaren will enter into the second season of its re-energized partnership with Honda looking to recover from a miserable 2015 campaign headlined persistent consistency problems and an underpowered power unit.

Latest report suggested that Honda have fixed the flaws that held them back last year, with some going as far as saying that the upgrades will put them right back in the mix come the first race in Melbourne next month.

Just how accurate the speculation is remains to be seen, although Fernando Alonso himself claimed that a lap-time gain of two-and-a-half seconds was possible during the off-season.
