Narain Karthikeyan will team up with former F1 partner Kamui Kobayashi in what would be his third season of the Japan-based Super Formula championship.
The Indian speedy Karthikeyan, will partner home hero Kobayashi at Team Le Mans in the 2016 season that begins at Suzuka on April 24.
The Toyota-powered Team Le Mans is one of the top outfits in Super Formula, seen as the fastest single seater racing series outside of Formula One.
“Le Mans is one of the top Super Formula teams with a rich history and I want to use all their experience and knowhow in Japan to deliver a consistent and winning campaign”, said Narain.
“Kobayashi is an extremely fast driver and will be a good benchmark, he was on the Formula 1 podium at Suzuka  and coupled with his experience on other Japanese circuits, will be a formidable team-mate and rival”, The Indian added.
