FIA clears Ferrari, Haas of any breach of aero testing

FIA clear Ferrari, Haas of wrongdoing on aero testing

Formula 1 governing body FIA clear Ferrari, Haas of wrongdoing on aero testing —

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix fireworks signalled the end of the 2015 season on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean the action will now go quiet.

Even before the race began at Yas Marina, the stewards ruled that the Ferrari-Haas collaboration is above board, after Mercedes queried rules “ambiguities”.

Mercedes did not directly accuse any team, but the complaint related to the close ties between Ferrari and U.S. team Haas. Ferrari, as a current competitor, was subject to testing restrictions, but Haas was not, because it enters F1 next year.

But the FIA declared that “there is no evidence that competitors have not complied” with the rules, even though there will be tighter restrictions for new teams like Haas in the future.
