Lotus F1 Team is officially confirms that the continuation of its existing deal with Pastor Maldonado for the 2016 season.
The Venezuelan joined Lotus F1 at the start of 2014 season with a multi-year contract, but his race seat had been doubtful as team’s future not yet confirmed with a potential sale to Renault.
Chairman and team Principal Gerard Lopez confirmed that Maldonado will remain at the team in 2016.

Everyone at Enstone will testify that Pastor is a terrific person to work with and we all know the performances he is capable of on track.”

Maldonado, who brings primary financial support by Venezuelan oil gain PDVSA, said he was pleased to put an end to rumor about his F1 future.
