Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel set fastest lap time ahead of teammate Kimi Raikkonen for the Singapore Grand Prix.
The Red Bulls of Daniil Kvyat and Daniel Ricciardo are third and fourth respectively but Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg are down in P5 and P6.
Vettel clocked 1 minute 45.682 seconds on the flood-lit Marina Bay street circuit, almost half a second faster than Raikkonen.
Ferrari and Red Bull led for the majority of the final practice session in Singapore as defending champions Mercedes once again struggled to match them for pace.
Mercedes even took to Twitter to state: “There is no hiding the potential here… the pace of our rivals is genuine and very quick!”
Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen were eighth and ninth fastest respectively for Toro Rosso despite both drivers going off at Turn 7, while Sauber’s Marcus Ericsson rounded out the top ten.
Fernando Alonso impressed with seventh place for McLaren as he finished ahead of Carlos Sainz, Max Verstappen and Marcus Ericsson.
Hamilton leads the championship by 53 points from Rosberg as he aims to match two records of idol Ayrton Senna on the weekend: eight pole positions in a row and 41 career race wins.
